Obscuresounds is a media production and web development company made up of freelancers. We are a small, dedicated team working out of pure passion, love, and professionalism for production and programming where time is often short and project briefs are indescriptive. Formed in 2008 by Lawrence Eldridge, Obscuresounds is aimed at providing creative solutions for companies who wish to keep costs low, and at realistic levels. By working with us, you will find that communication is direct and we are always at hand to provide on-going help and support.
Our team is divided in to 3 main areas of expertise:
- Web Development, which encompasses the design and implementation of websites, technical consultancy, and database management.
- Audio Production, a service that ranges from voiceover, composition, and engineering to post-production.
- Film, for visual based services in consumer products, corporate videos, training videos, and promotional videos.
Targets for creative marketing typically fall under the latter stages of a project, and it’s in these situations that we aim to turn around practical and robust solutions for given deadlines in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that commercial disciplines for brand identity, communications, marketing, and digital assets are all met using tried and tested techniques.

At a glance our creative audio suite offers many contemporary or traditional solutions, encouraging the use of Class-A equipment, and industry standard outboards where needed. We also cater for more experimental needs using rarer equipment. For specialist requirements, please feel free to contact our team in advance and we’ll be happy to make arrangements for you.
Our development services use a range of open source software and encompass full CMS solutions such as Typo3 to more specialist tools for communications and commerce. We typically use PHP, Flash, SQL, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS for our projects, and many of us have over 9 years experience of programming experience.
